About the artist

I work from life and the objects in my everyday experience. I began photographing cut flowers when I moved to New York City from Western Massachusetts.

My recent photographic work is all traditional, darkroom photography. I shoot with a variety of 35mm and medium-format cameras with both color and black and white film and make chromogenic prints (c-prints) in a color darkroom.

I studied Art History with a concentration in Studio Art at Barnard College, Columbia University, where I graduated with honors in 2007. I have also studied and worked at the International Center of Photography in New York and Zea Mays Printmaking Studio in Western Massachusetts.
